Updated: Jul 23
The next decade saw the Foundation as focusing on expanding its activities in the area of Education. Over the last 17 years, two Saint Benilde Fellowships at De La Salle University, a Professorial Chair on “Grassroots Education” in the University’s Graduate School, and nine (9) years of CDY “Dalubhasang Tanglaw” Awards for Most Outstanding Elementary School Teacher in Pampanga were undertaken.
In the last half- decade, the Foundation has focused on CSR. Starting with an agreement with UST’s Graduate School, there were projects that concluded in the 1st Philippine Conference on Research in CSR. This included roundtables, news bulletins, press releases, etc.
On its 20th year, BCYF has just celebrated the 100th birthday of Catalino D. Yap, Sr. from March 9, 2011 to March 9, 2012 and has completed the following activities: (a) Masses (March 9, 2011 and May 24, 2011); (b) CDY “Dalubhasang Tanglaw” Most Outstanding Public Elementary Teacher – SACT’s Area, First Memorial Lecture Series (August 19, 2011); and (c) First Philippine Conference on Research in CSR (September 1, 2011).
